Corrie superfan gets Deirdre Barlow's face tattooed on his leg

There are fans and then there are superfans.

We can all admit that the news of Coronation Street legend Anne Kirkbride’s death last year tugged on our heartstrings.

And since then, her family, fellow cast members and friends have paid tribute and honoured the actress in many unique and sentimental ways - but nothing has come close to this fan having her face tattooed on his leg.

Meet Martyn Hett.

Martyn is obsessed with all things Corrie and of course his favourite character is Deirdre Barlow (even though he named his cat Emily Bishop).

Even before Anne’s passing last year, he and his boyfriend got matching Deirdre and Ken tattoos.

Unhappy with the result, Martyn paid a trip to Channel 4’s Tattoo Fixers and decided to replace the tat with a picture of Deirdre behind bars - and he's damn proud of it.
