Diana Ross has entered the land of Twitter.

The 71-year-old singer has snapped up her own account with the handle @MsRoss and confessed she was "loving" being part of the social media site before amassing over 11,000 followers in just six hours.

It didn't take the former Supereme member long to get used to the social media platform, and by her second tweet she was using it to promote her son, Evan Ross' new single How To Live Alone.

Ross also kept who she followed to her five children.

By her third tweet - ever, the I'm Coming Out singer got a bit savvy and shared her ideas for a brand new song, before letting her 13K followers know that she was heading to bed.

While Diana hasn't released a studio album since 2006, her son Evan - who also stars in 'The Hunger Games' franchise - released his second single in May this year and although he admits he finds making music frightening he insists he doesn't feel any "pressure" from his mother.
