Clooney and Beckham have reportedly landed in Dublin

George Clooney and David Beckham have reportedly landed on our shores for this year’s Irish Open.

The famous duo are said to be making their way to the Royal County Down Golf Club in Newcastle, where they will rub shoulders with world-renowed golf stars.

And let’s just say people are a tad happy about it:

The Hollywood actor spoke of his plans to come to our Emerald Isle earlier this year.

“I obviously want to go. I’ve family ties there and it’s some I hope to do later this year," he said.

"Yeah, this year would be great but I’d like to wait till it gets a little warmer maybe.”

11 degrees? The perfect Irish summer George.

Clooney's Irish roots include his father's great-great-grandfather Nicholas Clooney, who hailed from Co Kilkenny. His paternal grandmother's maiden name was Guilfoyle.
