Doh! Ned Flanders voice actor Harry Shearer quits The Simpsons
Harry Shearer, the actor who voices Ned Flanders, Mr. Burns, Principal Skinner and Smithers has left The Simpsons.
The 71-year-old actor, who has been a part of the show since its origins, announced his departure via Twitter last night.
In this tweet Shearer quoted Simpsons writer and producer James L. Brooks' lawyer, saying the "show will go on, Harry will not be part of it."

But who will run the leftorium now?

According to a report published on the TMZ website on Sunday, Shearer was the only actor not to sign on for the seasons 26 and 27 due to merchandising issues that haven't been resolved.
Since announcing that he's quitting the show, Shearer has been flooded with messages of support.
