That awkward moment when Madonna tries her hand at stand-up comedy
Over the years Madonna has been known as a singer, an actress, a songwriter and even an icon, but we’d never thought we’d see the day she could be known as a stand-up comedian.
Appearing on the Jimmy Fallon show, Madonna admitted that she’s a closet comedian and sometimes craves the simplicity of a small production.
So Jimmy, being Jimmy, offered her the chance to make her comedy debut live on air.
“She’s an up and coming comedian making her stand-up comedy debut tonight, from Bay City Michigan, please welcome the very funny Madonna,” Jimmy announced before the singer appeared from behind the blue curtain.
So how did she do? Well … maybe we’ll let it up to you to decide:
WARNING: You might want to hid behind a pillow for most of it.
Needless to say, the singer made up for it by performing a version of her song Holiday as part of Jimmy’s famous classroom instruments sketch.
And gave it socks with this performance of 'Bitch I'm Madonna'.
Though not the best comedian, we are still all in agreeance that she can throw the best of shapes.
