Ash and The Strypes added to Slane line-up

Northern Irish trio Ash and Cavan-based rockers The Strypes have been added to this year’s Slane line-up.

The bands will play alongside the Foo Fighters, Kaiser Chiefs and Grammy award-winner Hozier at the iconic venue on Saturday May 30.

Ash returned to the Irish music scene earlier this year with new track Cocoon, the first single taken from their soon to be released seventh studio album Kablammo!

Most of us are familiar with their extensive back catalogue which features hits such as Girl From Mars and Burn Baby Burn.

The Strypes released their debut album ‘Snapshot’ in 2013 where it reached number two in Ireland and number four in the UK charts.

Since then, the band have supported the Arctic Monkeys on a UK and European tour, appeared on multiple chat shows in the US and are even said to be "The Best Thing that came out of Cavan".
