Would you buy a Love/Hate video game?

So if you’re anything like us, you’re still suffering from ‘nothing to watch on Sunday night syndrome’ but this might make it a tiny bit better - just a tiny bit.

A kickstarter campaign has been set up to raise €50,000 towards the creation of a Love/Hate video game, Love/Hate: The Game 2015.

We’re thinking a mixture of Grand Theft Auto and Super Mario Brothers?

WARNING: SPOILERS BELOW

The would-be game, launched my Glenn McGarry, is set to begin at the end of the last season, assuming that Nidge has survived the shooting outside his home.

“Nidge is found lying in a pool of blood as Patrick makes his getaway. The sound of sirens blares through the streets as the guards race to the scene. Found lying face down, Nidge and Siobhan are rushed to the nearest hospital," said Glenn.

"Nidge plans out his next steps. His rise to return to the top is only beginning... and as Patrick and Fran race to finish the job off, Nidge isn't going down again without a fight."

Mc Garry is eager to involve RTÉ - who own the copyright - in the whole process as well as some of the TV shows cast members, such as Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, who of course plays Nidge and Peter Coonan, who played Fran.

“I think I speak for everyone when I say we miss a lot of characters," he added.

If it helps get them back on our screens, be it big or small, we are all for it.

So far no-one has pledged any money for Mr McGarry's project but it will still be live for another 59 days.
