Mariah 'blames production staff' for leaking audio of Rockefeller performance

Mariah Carey has reportedly slammed production staff for leaking a recording of her vocals from her performance at the switching on of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lights.

The 'We Belong Together' singer performed live at the event on Wednesday after failing to show up to pre-record the day before and it's now been claimed she's blaming NBC employees for leaking a recording of her less-than-impressive vocals.

A source told the New York Daily News newspaper's Confidenti@l column: "It's really hard to leak 'just' audio.

"Mariah is blaming producers for leaking her audio track. She believes they did it to punish her for not showing up to taping the day before the live event!"

The 44-year-old star - who recently split from husband Nick Cannon, with whom she has three-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe - left NBC staff and the audience waiting for three hours before failing to show up to the pre-record of her performance of 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'.

However, a representative for the blonde beauty insists she has no issue with the network's employees because, as she used a wireless microphone, anyone could jave recorded the isolated track.

They added: "She performed beautifully."
