Joan was in high spirits night before operation

Joan Rivers laughed about going to hospital for "a little procedure" the night before the operation that left her on life support.

The 81-year-old comedienne went into cardiac arrest while having surgery on her vocal cords last week and has now been put on life support, but her close friend Jay Redack has revealed Joan didn't think the throat operation was anything to worry about.
