The Saturdays get "upset" by Twitter trolls.

The 'What About Us' hitmakers - Frankie Sandford, Vanessa White, Una Healy, Rochelle Humes and Mollie King - try to avoid negative comments made on the social-networking site, but admit some of the threats and messages take their toll.

Vanessa said: "I'd be lying if I said they didn't upset you. One tweet read, 'Hope your plane crashes and you all die'. "

The girls Twitter followers have sky-rocketed since their show, 'Chasing The Saturdays', aired in the US and the negative attention has grown so much there have been incidents where the police were called.

Una, who has 12-month-old daughter Aoife Belle with husband Ben Foden, added to more! magazine: "You may only see one tweet, but it can get you down for the whole day. At one point I had the worst abuse for going out drinking. Whenever I blocked [the troll], they'd reappear under a new name.

"It got so bad I called the police. They said, 'Well, actually, that's not our department.' There should be stricter laws to stop the faceless cowards."
