Cee Lo Green is being sued over a failed Christmas tour.
The 'Voice' mentor and his representatives have been accused of conspiring to cheat Cierra Management Group out of $243,000 (€181,429) after allegedly securing a deal for two Christmas concerts before pulling out.
According to the lawsuit obtained by TMZ, the 'Forget You' singer's team approached Cierra in November 2011 with a proposition for a '12 Days Of Christmas' tour but Cierra couldn't afford the $100,000 (€74,662) per concert upfront fee.
After some negotiations, they agreed on two gigs which Green did not end up playing.
The suit claims it was all "a scheme designed to finagle funding capital for concerts they knew would not manifest”.
Green and fellow 'Voice' mentor Christina Aguilera have been replaced by Usher and Shakira after Christina decided to leave to spend time touring and promoting her album 'Lotus' while Green is working with NBC on a new show of his own.
However, they will both return for season five.
Chairman of NBC Entertainment Robert Greenblatt said: "Doing two back-to-back cycles of this show requires a tremendous amount of time, and we are happy to accommodate the commitments made by Christina and Cee Lo.
"The participants on our show benefit from our coaches' expertise and their continued success in the music business allows for significant new contributions to the contestants when they return."
