Conor Maynard is planning to record with Emeli Sande.

The 'Vegas Girl' star has been friends with the 'Next To Me' singer since before they both had hits and wants them to team up on a track for his second album.

He told the Daily Star newspaper: "While we were doing the Christmas 'Top Of The Pops' TV show, we were saying we'd have to get in the studio together early this year, so I'm very excited about that. It's very cool.

"When we are back in the UK it will happen."

Conor, 20, also talked about the meeting Emeli, 25, for the first time and how surprised he is both of them have since become stars.

He added: "The first ever BRIT Awards I went to was with Emeli. We shared a car.

"Neither of us were known. For me it is a weird feeling, two years down the line, now with all this huge success.

"This year will be one of the first times I've attended the BRITs where people actually know who I am."

Conor is also keen to snare rapper Drake for the follow up to debut album 'Contrast', as he is such a huge fan of the Canadian star's work.

He added: "I went through a massive phase of just listening to Drake's music. I was just a massive fan of his music, and the way he writes is just incredible. He makes such simple, relatable tracks that work so cleverly. It's so weird how he writes.

"If I ever got the chance to work with him or got to meet him, I think it would be one of those moments where it's like, 'Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry.' It would be crazy. I definitely look up to him as an artist."
