Corrie star quits soap to focus on comedy

Shobna Gulati has quit 'Coronation Street'.

The 46-year-old actress - who play Sunita Alahan in the ITV soap - has been on and off the soap since 2001, but has decided to focus on a future in comedy writing instead of acting.
