Goulding and Skrillex want to collaborate

Ellie Goulding wants to make an album with Skrillex.

The 'Anything Could Happen' hitmaker has been dating the dubstep producer since February and she is hopeful they will be able to collaborate in the near future because they are both so "professional" about their music careers.

Ellie said: "I think in an ideal world we'd love to make a whole record together... but it just so happens that we're both ridiculously busy. When it comes to music, it honestly is really professional. Honestly.

"If we start talking about music on the phone, it switches immediately to being professional, and not on purpose, but because we're both so passionate about music and it's a very serious thing to us."

Ellie and Skrillex - real name Sonny Moore - are said to have already recorded a song together, but the singer chose not to feature it on her new album 'Halycon'.

The blonde songstress has abandoned her pop roots for a more electronic vibe on her second studio LP, which is more in keeping with her boyfriend's musical influences.

She recently revealed: "I've got more influences and different influences. I think it's a different sound. It is kind of a bit more tribal, a bit more anthemic."

'Halcyon' was released on October 8.
