Affleck thanks 'patient' wife
Ben Affleck is “not very present” with his family.
The ‘Town’ actor admits his wife Jennifer Garner does “everything” with their children Violet, six, Seraphina, three and six-month-old Samuel because he is often not around, but does try and do things with them whenever he can.
He said: “I am not very present in the rest of my life. My wife’s very patient. She does everything. If I have time, I try to spend time with my kids, even if just to be a physical presence, the bath, whatever.”
However, the 40-year-old star does not believe he could be a full-time stay-at-home father because he loves his work too much.
He said: “I don’t want to be a stay-at-home dad. Work is very important to me. I like to work. But I need my work to mean something to me in order for me to not be home with them.”
Work still makes Ben anxious, and he admits he often thinks about it when he is with his family.
He added to Details magazine: “My mind is always going, ‘How are we going to light that show tomorrow? What’s the master shot for that scene? Is there even going to be a master?’ ”
