Danes are officially rolling their eyes at the US election with a genius anti-Trump bus advert

It’s not just the US that’s worried about Donald Trump possibly becoming president. In Denmark there’s a new campaign to encourage Americans abroad to vote next month, and it’s genius.

Danes are officially rolling their eyes at the US election with a genius anti-Trump bus advert

A strategically placed picture of Trump over the wheels of a bus has been spotted around Copenhagen.

.

This brilliant and, let’s be honest, tad scary advert was commissioned by the Socialistisk Folkeparti (SF) party in a bid to encourage expat Americans to use their absentee vote.

It’s no secret that most of the time Get Out The Vote (GOTV) campaigns can be a little dry, with the usual leaflets and posters inundating potential voters with reasons to vote. While this powerful advert is all about one impeccably positioned image.

In an interview with broadcaster DR, the leader of the SF, Pia Olsen Dyhr, said: “It is meant to be a bit funny. One can’t be in doubt that it was done tongue in cheek. We want to tell American citizens: ‘Remember to vote, it has consequences’.”

Like Trump being president.
