When Redditor Sal_marin got back home from a trip, he probably just wanted to go straight to his room and go to bed.

But his bedroom was gone - his roommates had installed a utility cupboard.

Which to be fair is probably more use to them.

You really have to admire their attention to detail - the drywall, the paint, the posters - they even installed a light fixture.

Sal_marin writes that it took a while for him to comprehend the genius of the prank.
