Alberto Olmedo is a hairdresser in Madrid with some rather extreme ways of cutting hair.

Using swords, rings and fire, these are probably the most dangerous haircuts on the planet.

Dubbed the Edward Scissorhands of the hairdressing world, it’s a miracle no one has come out of his shop badly maimed.

Mr Olmedo insists his alternative methods make it possible for him to give meticulously precise haircuts that challenge the standard scissors cuts, but we are finding it hard to believe him.

Call us boring, but we prefer the more conventional approach.
