Ryan Tubridy receives honorary lifetime membership to Ravenclaw from UCC’s Harry Potter society

Ryan Tubridy attended a very special ceremony in UCC today, where he received an honorary lifetime membership to Ravenclaw from the university’s Harry Potter society.

Since the society kicked off its HP events last month, it has been embraced far and wide, and according to organisers Tubs has been a great help with the promotion of the society.

Its inaugural Sorting Hat ceremony attracted over 590 die-hard Potter fans who queued for hours before being sorted into one of the four houses of Hogwarts - Hufflepuff, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Gryffindor.

Tubs was presented with the honour from the head of Ravenclaw, Aimee Shine.

He even got the ’Snape swish’ down.

But sadly still no Late Late Toy Show tickets.

He's actually really nice, I mean he called us nerds and peculiar an didn't give us Toy Show tickets but we like him, what a charmer
