Remember Captain Planet? You probably remember the theme tune, at the very least.
VIDEO: Have you seen that ludicrous Captain Planet episode set in Belfast?

The nineties environmental cartoon is a bit of a cult classic but did you know they set an episode in Northern Ireland?

"If It’s Doomsday, This Must Be Belfast" first aired on November 28, 1992 and was reportedly banned from being shown in Northern Ireland.

It’s a bizarre, hilariously inaccurate and wildly politically incorrect treatment of the conflict between Catholics and Protestants as the character Wheeler attempts to save Belfast from a nuclear bomb.

And the accents are unlike anything we’ve ever heard, either side of the border.

If you haven’t seen it yet, prepare yourself.

The Rubberbandits posted the clip on their Facebook page last night with the caption "It’s every Irish persons duty to see this once."

Presumably so we can make sure it never happens again.
