So, the first silverware of the season has been handed out as Chelsea put Tottenham Hotspur to the sword in the Capital One Cup Final.

The League Cup showpiece is usually the signifier for the Premier League race hotting up and fans start to get twitchy as their team battles for a top four place, meanders in mid-table or tries to escape relegation.
