7 reasons why Neil Patrick Harris will be the best Oscar host ever

It’s Oscar season again in Hollywood and that means new movies, new outfits, new music and of course, it’s time for a brand new host for this years show.

This year it is the turn of self proclaimed 'teen heart-throb' Neil Patrick Harris to take the reins of the biggest awards ceremony in Hollywood.

Here are my reasons as to why he will possibly be the best Oscar host to ever cross the stage.

1. Look at his competition

Whilst there have been many great hosts in recent years, such as Ellen DeGeneres, Billy Crystal and Hugh Jackman, there have also been some travesties of Oscar hosting which are worthy of The Golden Raspberry Awards.

I give you, Seth MacFarlane;

Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin;

And who could forget this;

2. He is a proven host

Having hosted the Tony Awards four times (for which he won several Emmys), he has also hosted the Primetime Emmy Awards twice.

His hosting skills have helped us understand that Broadway shows are "Not just for Gays anymore"

As well as these other videos which will just make you excited about this years Oscars.

3. He's got a great rapport with his fellow celebrities

His rivalry with Hugh Jackman is amazing!

As is his relationship with his co-stars on hit show, How I Met Your Mother.

Which brings me smoothly to my next point...

4. He's BARNEY (wait for it) STINSON

As Barney he knows how to suit up and knows what's important in life.

He has given the world some of the most memorable quotes from a TV show.

And certainly knows how to talk to the ladies.

5. He is undoubtly one of the best family men we have ever seen

6. He's already got us really excited for this years Oscars

7. He's a gifted musician, singer and performer.

I really don't need to post another video of him singing and dancing do I?

I mean you could just look back at any of the above videos to know how great he will be...

There you have it. If that's not enough reason for you to watch the Oscars, purely for the amazing hosting skills of Mr. Patrick Harris, then I don't know what else to say.
