Three Fantasy Football players to replace Sergio Aguero in Gameweek 16

Anyone who had Sergio Aguero in their Fantasy Football squad has been cursing last weekend’s performance, as Man City’s talismanic striker limped off and is now out until January. 

To make matters worse, the third best fantasy striker in the league, Charlie Austin, has been suspended.

So, to help you find replacements for these point grabbing stars, this week we look at three players you could get in as replacements.

Wilfried Bony (Price: 8.5)

The Swansea striker recently became Swansea’s joint top Premier League goal scorer of all time, and he has shown no sign of slowing down.

Seven goals so far this season, he has three in his last four and an assist.

Swansea have been performing well so far with Garry Monk picking up many fans, but Monk owes Bony a lot.

Bony may not be a clinical as Aguero, but replace the Argentinian with the Ivorian, and you’ll get a proven goal scorer and change of 4.2 million to spend elsewhere.

But be warned, Bony will be leaving for the African Cup of Nations in January although by then, it may be possible to bring Aguero back in.

Diego Costa (Price: 11.0)

To say that Chelsea’s chief striker has been struggling of late would be an understatement.

He has been seriously struggling to find that goal scoring touch he had at the start of the season.

He seems to struggle away from Stamford Bridge, but good news – Gameweek 16 see Chelsea play at home.

The Blues take on Hull in a game which is made for Costa.

Hull have been very poor recently, in fact they haven’t won since October 4th.

At 11.0, Costa is expensive but against a Hull side without any confidence, expect Diego to score.

Andy Carroll (Price: 6.9)

West Ham had been worried with star strikers Enner Valencia and Diafra Sakho out injured. But they needn’t have been.

Andy Carroll has returned from injury himself to fire the Hammers into third. And while Carroll has never been known for his consistency in front of goal, he may be just the sort of player West Ham need when they take on Sunderland.

Sunderland’s results have been poor, but not their performances. They have been difficult to break down, just ask Jose Mourinho.

A big target man like Andy Carroll, to ruffle some feathers in the box may be just what West Ham need to stay in the top four a little while longer.

After all, Carroll is a man in form.
