Oh, the trials and tribulations of having an Irish name.

Caoimhe, Blathnaid, Daithí, Saoirse, Méabh, Oisín, Áine - while we should rightly be proud of our heritage, our unique names can lead to some mangled pronunciation from both foreigners and natives alike.

And who can blame them? Sometimes the spelling looks like we're just making it up for a laugh.

In this video from Facts, four Irish people discuss the challenges of having an inpronounceable name.

Our favourite bit was the granny who stillgets her granddaughter's name (Gráinne) slightly wrong.
