Where can Love/Hate go next?

Love/Hate, once again, has the nation talking about its incredible season finale last night, with the minority who didn't see it praying they get through the day without seeing any spoilers. And yes, there will be spoilers here.

With Nidge looking likely to be dead, who is going to be crowned as the new king?

Speaking on Morning Ireland today, the head of drama at RTÉ Jane Gogan said no decisions have been made about any potential new series. But where can they take it from here?

Let's look at some options.

Some suggested Nidge was still alive, so season six could be about his revenge.

Many felt the relationship between Aido and Nadine could carry the show through another season, albeit, moving away from the gritty crime and drugs theme the show has had so far.

We could see season six follow Aido as he struggles to leave a life of crime behind him, and focus on his new start up cleaning company.

Perhaps there will be a new king in town. Marty Whelan recently posted he had the shoes. Could he be the next Love/Hate star?
