WATCH: The new song about Temple Bar that Irish tourism promoters WILL NOT want to hear
The song, 'Temple Bar' written by Billy Treacy and performed by his band focusses on the less attractive aspects of Dublin's nightlife hot spot.
The expensive beer, the pickpockets and the beggars are all immortalised in this ditty that encourages visitors to Dublin to look outside the tourist hub for a cheaper experience of the capital.
One of the verses, typical of the song, goes like this: "There'll be drink and songs a plenty but your pockets will be empty, coz round here your money won't go far. In Temple Bar, In Temple Bar."
However Billy does admit in the song that he's only poking a bit of fun.
"But please take my advice, that the rest of Dublin's nice. Don't limit yourself to one square mile. Now I mostly speak in jest, but believe me Dubs are best. Guaranteed to make you smile."
