Ian McKellen's latest Instagram snap will make all LOTR lovers chuckle

It may be nearly a decade since the last Lord of the Rings films graced our cinema screens but with The Hobbit yet to wrap up, Sir Ian McKellen is certainly not ready to let go of his beloved character Gandalf.

The actor uploaded a photo on Instagram of him sauntering behind a pigeon with the simple caption, “Fly, you fool!”

For all of those who are not familiar with the Lord of the Rings trilogy (or at least the first one), you’ll not find this amusing in the slightest.

But yes, Gandalf’s still got it.
