A decision to change Irish singer-songwriter CMAT’s stage time at Eden Sessions in Cornwall has been reversed following some backlash from fans.
The singer’s original stage time of 8.30pm at the UK-based festival was changed to accommodate a screening of the World Cup semi-final clash between Argentina and England on Wednesday.
Following the festival organisers' decision, fans were quick to share their feedback, and CMAT announced on social media that she was working to find a solution.
“Sorry, girls, trying to find a slightly better solution to the CMAT and World Cup clash at Eden Sessions.. hang in there. Can’t even begin to tell you the psychic damage this is causing me. CMAT should never be mentioned in the same sentence as either 'football' or 'England',” she wrote on her Instagram stories.
She followed up with an update confirming that the decision had been reversed and stage times would remain as originally announced.
“Hi again, everyone! After seeing the feedback about the Eden Sessions stage times changes, the decision has been reversed, and the stage times will remain as initially planned. In addition, the game will now be available to watch on a screen on the site for anyone who wants to watch it. Thanks to all who got in touch, and sorry for any inconvenience and confusion - looking forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday,” she wrote.
The running order for Wednesday is now as follows: Doors at 6pm, Katy J Pearson At 7.15pm and CMAT and The Very Sexy CMAT Band at 8.30pm.

Organisers posted on Eden Sessions' Instagram account on Sunday evening to confirm the change.
“After seeing your response to the adjusted schedule for @cmatbaby and The Very Sexy CMAT Band on Wednesday 15th July, we’ve made the decision to go back to our original stage times,” they wrote.
“We want you to have the absolute best experience possible at the Eden Sessions, so you can now enjoy the night exactly as planned.”
Earlier this summer, the Dunboyne woman, who has built a reputation as one of the most flawless live performers on the circuit right now, played to sold-out crowds at St Anne’s Park in Dublin and Musgrave Park (Virgin Media Park) in Cork.
She goes on to play Halifax and Scarborough in the UK, and Lollapalooza in Chicago at the end of this month, before playing two nights at Custom House Square Belfast on August 31 and September 1.
