Island Pieces explores various aspects of the island's life and lore

Historian and author Diarmuid Ó Drisceoil launched his latest book recently at Cork City Library. Island Pieces – which carries sections in both Irish and English – delves into various aspects of the island’s history and culture, covering such topics as dressers, dry stone walls, emigration, birds, and the traditional Cape Clear gansey. It’s available from bookshops in Co Cork, as well as directly at  capeclearbook.ie
