Nicky Byrne, Shane Filan, and Kian Egan will perform their greatest hits, including Swear It Again, Flying Without Wings, and You Raise Me Up as part of their hit-packed set list, spanning the band’s career.

Record-breaking Irish boyband Westlife have announced special homecoming gigs at Dublin’s 3Arena and Belfast’s SSE Arena next year.

Following two sold-out nights at the Royal Albert Hall to mark their forthcoming 25th anniversary, the band will play five consecutive shows in Dublin from September 22 to September 26 and will play a further three shows at SSE Arena in Belfast from October 27 to October 29.

The Dublin gigs will bring their total number of performances at the 3Arena to an unprecedented 74 shows, a figure unmatched by any other artist in the venue’s history.

Meanwhile, the gigs in Belfast extend Westlife’s record for the most shows ever performed at the SSE Arena, bringing the total to 72.

Over the years, Westlife have also headlined multiple sold-out nights at Supervalu PĂĄirc UĂ­ Chaoimh in Cork, Croke Park Stadium and the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Fitzgerald Stadium in Killarney, and Pearse Stadium in Galway, and Markievicz Park in Sligo.

Nicky Byrne, Shane Filan, and Kian Egan will perform their greatest hits, including Swear It Again, Flying Without Wings, and You Raise Me Upas part of their hit-packed set list, spanning the band’s career.

Speaking ahead of next year’s shows, Byrne, Filan and Egan said there is “no better feeling than coming home”.

Speaking about Dublin, they said the city has been “at the heart” of their story from the very beginning and said that kicking off the 25th anniversary celebrations with five nights at the 3Arena feels “incredibly special”.

“Every time we play here, the crowd’s energy is electric, we can’t wait to celebrate with you all and make more amazing memories together,” they said.

The band are equally looking forward to returning to Belfast to play the SSE Arena, saying: “Belfast has always held a special place in our hearts. The crowds here are unbelievable, the atmosphere is like nowhere else in the world.” 

Over the last 25 years, Westlife have become one of the most successful pop groups of all time. Their music has been streamed over 3 billion times globally, they’ve achieved 36 No. 1 albums worldwide, 14 UK No. 1 singles, sold over 55 million records, surpassed 1 billion YouTube views, and sold more than 6 million concert tickets worldwide.

The Wild Dreams Tour sold over 1.2 million tickets alone, and they have performed more than 200 shows since their reunion in 2019 across 30 countries.
