Country music superstar Luke Combs adds second Slane Castle date to Irish leg of tour

Luke Combs will play Slane Castle next year

US country music star has added a second date at Slane Castle next summer.

The singer-songwriter confirmed on Wednesday that due to overwhelming demand, he has extended his My Kinda Saturday Night tour, with a second date at Slane Castle.

Last Thursday, it was announced that the country star would take to the stage at Slane on July 18 for the first gig at the historic venue in Meath since Harry Styles graced the stage in 2023.

Luke Combs Bootleggers presale took place for fans on Tuesday and the MCD promoter presale went on sale today.

Due to the level of demand for tickets for the July 18 gig, Combs has added a second night at Slane on July 19, 2026.

The presale for these tickets will begin today, Wednesday, at lukecombs.com.

All 20 shows will go on sale to the general public this Friday, October 17 at 10am.

He will be joined at Slane Castle by The Script, as well as country acts Ty Myers and The Castellows.

Rumours had been swirling that U2, Oasis, and Fontaines DC could headline Slane Castle next year, leaving many surprised to see the name of Luke Combs announced as the venue’s next headliner.

This will be Comb’s second time in Ireland, having sold out both the 3Arena and Belfast’s SSE Arena in October 2023.

Country music stars are no strangers to Comb’s signature sound, a mix of traditional country, Southern rock, and a hint of bluegrass.

His storytelling, often reflecting themes of love, heartbreak, and the everyday struggles of life, has resonated deeply with audiences worldwide.

He may be unfamiliar to some, but the 35-year-old North Carolina native is a giant of country music, sitting alongside Morgan Wallen, Chris Stapleton and Zach Bryan as contemporary pioneers of the genre, and boasts more than 25 million monthly listeners on Spotify, placing him in the top 250 artists on the platform.

“This year has been awesome. We’ve gotten to play some of the most iconic festivals in the world and promote country music in ways that it normally isn’t. That said, while the festivals are awesome, there’s nothing like a headline show on a full tour with all of my fans. It’s hard to beat,” Combs says of the upcoming tour.

“I can’t wait for March 2026 for the ‘My Kinda Saturday Night Tour.’ We’re going to eight different countries, bringing along a ton of great support, and by then will have a lot of new music to play.”

Combs recently became the highest RIAA-certified country artist ever with 168 million units sold, surpassing Garth Brooks. He released The Prequel last week, a new three-song collection featuring My Kinda Saturday Night, 15 Minutes, and Days Like These.

Slane Castle has hosted many high-profile gigs over the years, with Thin Lizzy headlining the inaugural concert there in 1981. It has also seen shows from The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Queen, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, and, most recently, Harry Styles.
