Over the past week, a region of Los Angeles has been engulfed by fatal wildfires, with hundreds of thousands of people evacuated and tens of thousands of homes and structures destroyed.

It meant prolific podcasters like Bill Simmons didn’t post new episodes during the week (thankfully he's fine - he talked about what the past week has been like on his pod on Sunday night; it sounds like hell), while Marc Maron, in his introduction to his WTF interview with Mike Leigh on Thursday, detailed his previous few days which saw him evacuate his home. Somehow, in the midst of such horror, Maron is able to make us laugh at the predicament he found himself in, having to move three cats in one box. “Hell of a morning, I don’t know what to say,” he admits.
