Jim's Gems 2014: My favourite albums marking their 10-year anniversary

With the likes of Ed Sheeran dominating the charts in 2014, Jim Comet had to dig deep and include new releases of old music in his selection of the best albums of the year

Not exactly the most memorable year. Donald Trump bought Doonbeg, the whole country was up in arms over water charges, and we all threw buckets of iced water over each other and filmed it for social media. The innocence of it all. Musically it was a shocking year. It was all about really bad pop. There were a few good albums, though - here’s my best 10 for the year.

1. Bob Dylan, The Bootleg Series Volume 11 - The Basement Tapes
