'If these kids can rap, they can act': Kabin crew appear in Knocknaheeny-set film 

Brendan Canty tells Esther McCarthy how he was delighted to get the young rappers and other members of the local community involved in Christy, his Cork-made film

They’re the Cork kids behind summer’s biggest banger, the creators in a youth project that has gone global. Now, several members of Kabin Crew are on their way to the movies - starring on screen and behind the scenes in a major new Irish feature film.

Currently in post-production after filming on location in Knocknaheeny and Cork city centre, Christy will come to our screens next year, with the stars of summer’s viral smash central to the film.
