Pat Fitzpatrick: Here's what I'll be watching over the Christmas holidays 

In the end, Christmas is about doing things you’d never dream about at another time of the year. (Like eating three mince pies in a row.)

So what am I going to watch over Christmas?

The first part of The Crown season six (Netflix) was dire, a daytime Channel 5 take on the death of Princess Di. But we’re through that now and on to the William and Kate bit of the story. Yes, they’re dull, but I still want to see if the writers can weave magic from the backstories of the era, like they did so many times in the past. So I’ll be trying to keep the final few episodes for a Christmas watch, which is tricky because they dropped December 14. I’ll still be sorry to see this series go.
