The first wave of international headline acts has been announced for Waterford's All Together Now festival, happening August 1-4 2024, in its usual Bank Holiday weekend slot.

The names, announced Thursday evening, include US indie megastars The National, UK soul singer Jorja Smith, US indie-poppers Future Islands, rising UK star Bakar, and a live show from UK dance star Barry Can’t Swim.

The announcement of The National sees the band return to Ireland following a gig in Dublin earlier this year.

The POD/Aiken-produced event heads into its fifth annual excursion with the announcement, with remaining Tier 3 and 4 tickets going on sale on Monday December 11.

Camper and caravan passes are sold out, according to organisers, while the festival has confirmed the return of its Thursday night kickoff programming on August 1 for early attendees, ahead of the big weekend.

News of the announcement comes after Cork-based festival Indiependence, which also happens annually on the August Bank Holiday at Mitchelstown's Deer Farm, confirmed that it would be "taking a break" for 2024, with news on its 2025 edition to follow.

Meanwhile, there have been no announcements yet about Live At The Marquee in Cork for 2024, but construction work for a new residential development has begun on the event's traditional site near Monahan Road.
