Gigs for Gaza: Fundraising concerts and events for the people of Palestine
Stevie G and The Saw Doctors are among the acts taking part in gigs for Palestine in the coming weeks.
Cork DJ Stevie Grainger has issued his clarion call to DJs, selectors and promoters all over the country, following similar efforts for marriage equality and the Repeal campaign - local DJs, selectors, ungifted amateurs and vinyl collectors alike all converge on venues around the country, including Cork's Vicarstown Bar, Galway's Blue Note, and a Dublin venue TBA. Selectors on the Leeside leg include Stevie G, Lisa Oh, and Fish Go Deep's Shane Johnson.

Happening as part of the Going Coastal music programme in Galway, the Ar Ais Arís collective have 'pulled together a grade-A lineup of rowdy bass music energy' for the cause, including Galwegian footwork producer Matchu, jungle/breakbeats connoisseur D'anu, and co-organiser/record-slinger Rob Rua.

The Irish Artists for Palestine group, a coalition of artists, musicians, writers and other creators who recognise the historical ties and commonalities between the Irish and Palestinian people, have announced a pair of major gigs for the end of November.
Over at the Olympia, a veritable cavalcade of music veterans, like the Saw Doctors, the Stunning, Mary and Frances Black, Tom Dunne and many more will be performing, but front and centre among the line-up will be Palestinian-Irish singer and songwriter Roisín el-Cherif, and young Palestinian wordsmith MC Abdul.
Part 2 of their Dublin excursion has gone from a sold-out Vicar Street to a massive upgrade in the former Point Theatre, including trad trailblazers Lankum, singer and songwriter Damien Dempsey, folk singer Lisa O'Neill, balladeers The Mary Wallopers, sean-nós singer Síle Denvir, and more.

The northside's sonic temple plays host to a multimedia extravaganza - music from the likes of Declan O'Rourke, Greenshine, and Jack O'Rourke; words, poetry and readings from Danny Denton, Dónal Ryan, Doireann Ní Ghríofa, Cónal Creedon, Julie Goo, and Eimear Ryan; plus special guest Tadhg Hickey.
