Bruce Springsteen had been here, there, and everywhere ahead of his first Irish concert in seven years. 

A trip to his ancestral family home in Kildare, a courtesy call to Shane MacGowan, and a visit to Windmill Lane studios were all on the itinerary for the 73-year-old.
