Covid-19 patient posts video from Kerry hospital bed pleading with people to stay in
28-year-old Covid-19 patient, Michael Prendergast has posted a video from his hospital bed pleading with the public to stay indoors.
The Kerryman spoke from an isolation unit in Kerry General Hospital and warned that “this virus is a killer”.
He tested positive for Covid-19 shortly after returning from London, where he lives.
In the video, shown on SkyNews, he said: “I have been so sick and so weak that I couldn’t raise my own head. If my life ends now, I’ve been asking myself, ‘Have I been a good person, have I done enough in my life?’ There’s still so much I want to achieve.”
It’s been harrowing, it’s been indescribable. This is just a warning to anyone out there. If you don’t get affected as bad as I have, I guarantee you that your parents, or your grandparents, or your aunts and uncles are going to be.
