Dublin agency creates 20-second soap to help against spread of coronavirus

A creative agency in Dublin has created a soap that lasts for exactly 20 seconds in order to show people how long to wash their hands to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

It is generally agreed that handwashing is one of the best ways to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

We've been told various ways to do so for the required 20 seconds like singing 'Happy Birthday' twice, or reciting a 'public service poem' as demonstrated by Judi Dench and Gyles Brandreth or singing the chorus of The Killers' 'Mr Brightside'.

Now, Dublin creative agency Verve has invented the first soap that lasts for exactly 20 seconds.

The limited edition 20-second soaps will be given away for free as a way to educate people about the 20-second guideline.

You can get your free soap on their website.

We're sure you won't have to sing for them....
