Wedding of the Week: Saying 'I do' at chic Cork celebration

The best of Irish and Polish traditions were celebrated as super-stylish bride and groom Aleksandra Kowalczuk and Donogh Roche exchanged vows recently.

Aleks, from Bydgoszcz, Poland, and Donogh, from Cork, first met in Poznan in Poland, on Tinder.

They were married recently in Cork Civil Registration Office.

The bride was movie-star elegant in a Karen Millen ensemble she purchased in Brown Thomas while the groom sported a dapper Canali suit he bought in Louis Copeland, Cork.

The bridal hair and makeup was picture-ready thanks to Cork salon Hair Passion.

The newlyweds and their guests enjoyed stop-offs in Hayfield Manor Hotel and the University College Cork campus after the wedding ceremony, with Waldemar Żukowski of Expressive Conception of Photography capturing the big on camera in a glossy photoshoot.

Then it was on to the chic city-centre River Lee Hotel for the reception.

Ernest Cantillon was by the groom’s side as best man while the couple’s nieces Eva and Fiona were delighted to be part of the action as flowergirls.

The newlyweds honeymooned in Japan and the Maldives.
