Hundreds line streets at open call for Hollywood blockbuster extras
Hundreds of people have been queuing in Dublin this afternoon at an open casting event for extras for an upcoming Hollywood blockbuster.
The Last Duel is the latest film from director Ridley Scott and is set to star Matt Damon, Adam Driver, Ben Affleck and Jodie Comer.
Filming is set to take place around Dublin, Wicklow, Meath and Tipperary.
An open casting event was held today at the SIPTU building at Eden Quay in Dublin after producers earlier announced that they were looking for extras for large crowd scenes.
Hundreds of people showed up for tp try out for the extras parts, with queues stretching back across several streets in the city centre.
The screenplay is based on a book by Eric Jager and is written by Affleck, Damon and Nicole Holofcener, and focuses on a dispute between a knight and squire in Medieval France.
The Last Duel is scheduled to be released early next year.
