Live podcasts, boat parties and mystery bus trips are among the lastest events added to the line-up for It Takes A Village in Cork this summer.

The festival returns to Trabolgan Holiday Village for a third year from May 8-10.

The second round of acts and activities have been announced at the festival launch party in Cork city.

The latest additions include: radio presenter and DJ Kate Brennan Harding; the well-loved Cork singer-songwriter John Spillane; singer/rapper/musician from Limerick Post Punk Podge & The Techono Hippies; five-piece post metal band God Alone; Galway multi instrumentalist composer, performer and producer Anna Mullarkey;Cathal and Elaine (The Altered Hours) DJ set; and popstar from Glasnevin CMAT.

Festival guests will stay in self-catering houses on-site to enjoy a fun-filled weekend of live music, live podcasts, house parties, pool parties, and games like bowling, go-karting, and crazy golf.

Lords of Strut return with the annual festival favourite: synchronised swimming in Trabolgan’s heated indoor pool, plus a special pop-up performance of their acclaimed show 'Release The Freak'.

A major hit last year, the ITAV Boat Party will set sail on Saturday afternoon on board the Cailín Ór for a two-hour cruise around Cork harbour. Secret guest DJs will hit the decks and the mini party liner boasts a full bar. The boat trip is included in the festival ticket price for ITAV20.

A new addition to weekend frolickings is the Mystery Bus Trip where a number of lucky villagers will be whisked off to a secret location, not too far from Trabolgan, for a few hours of fun and an extra special secret gig!

As part of the increasing holistic side of the village, the festival will host a truly special experience for any yoga enthusiasts: Drone Yoga, yoga but done to drone music. Zone out, focus the mind, and relax by the sea.

The inaugural My Goodness Games will take place on Sunday afternoon, expect grown-ups tug of war, arm wrestling, paddling pool pandemonium, brought to you by the lovely people from My Goodness vegan delights.

Dive into nature with Collie Ennis and Colette Kinsella who host the Critter Shed Podcast Live and join Collie for an ecology adventure around some of the 120-acre woodland site in Trabolgan.

The Creep Dive also add to the festival’s podcast offering this year, with their weirdo stories from around the world.

Previously announced names on the bill include Joe Claussell with Fish Go Deep, Romare, Mad Professor, Scary Éire, Altin Gün, Pillow Queens, Junior Brother, God Knows & Denise Chaila, and many more.

Tier 1 tickets are on sale now from €154 - €229 per person, including three nights’ accommodation in a self-catering house, festival tickets, private parking and access to the Boat Party and Mystery Bus Tour.

Sunday Day tickets will go on sale Friday 14th February.
