Watch: Roscommon woman wins €500k Winning Streak jackpot

A Roscommon woman became the first person to win the top prize of €500,000 on Winning Streak's Grand Prize Wheel in nine years last night sparking scenes of great joy in the RTÉ studios.

Michelle Morgan, 27, who was playing on behalf of her mother took home a grand total of €522,000 on last night's show.

Michelle’s mother, Mairead, bought the lucky ticket in the Supervalu in Ballaghaderreen, Co Roscommon and asked her daughter to appear on the show for her.

The spin led to joyous scenes as Michelle's family came down from the audience to celebrate the win.

In total, €690,000 was given out in prizes on last night's show.
