Walking on Cars to headline New Year's Eve concert in Dublin

Kerry band Walking on Cars have been announced as the headline act of this year's Countdown Concert at Custom House in Dublin.

The band will ring in 2020 with special guests Ash, Aimee and Lisa McHugh at 8pm this December 31.

There will also be a free Liffey Lights Midnight Moment event which begins at 11:30pm. Described as a "solar symphony" of lights, up to 100 aqua beams, lasers and search lights will dance across the Dublin sky.

The lights will perform in time with original music created especially for the NYE countdown event.

2019 marks the festival's eight year run and four events will take place over two days.

Tickets are priced at €36.90 including booking fee and go on sale this Friday, October 18 at 9am.
