The rise of home skincare devices doesn't mean that salons and clinics no longer serve a purpose.

The future of beauty is often said to be in the consumer’s hands. With everything from LED therapy to electrical muscle stimulation being rejigged as a handheld device that anyone can plug in when they’re watching Netflix, it may seem as though going down to your local salon or clinic is a thing of the past.

Although I’m very much pro consumers being able to access high-quality skincare, I feel that the beauty treatments that are keeping up deserve a spot in our lives. In a recent report by Yelp, the online reviewing platform, the key beauty treatments in 2019 include microneedling, Coolsculpting,Ultherapy and laser facials.
