David Gray adds two Irish dates for White Ladder Anniversary Tour

Singer songwriter David Gray has included two Irish dates on his White Ladder: The 20th Anniversary Tour next year.

The Grammy-nominated performer will tour for 12 dates across Ireland, UK and Europe in March and April of next year.

White Ladder is the best selling album of all time in Ireland, and Gray will perform the set with the original band members and equipment to recreate the record in its entirety, as well as a set of his greatest hits.

To mark the anniversary, an expanded edition of the album will be released, including unreleased rarities, B-sides and demos.

Speaking about the announcement, Gray said: "It’s the 20th anniversary of White Ladder, a unique record with its own remarkable history.

"Jammed full with big, open hearted songs and flooded with a raw emotional energy. It’s an album that came from nowhere to steal the hearts of millions all over the world, completely transforming my life in the process.

"Twenty years on and it feels like White Ladder is just as alive for people now as it was back then - so to celebrate this milestone, I will be releasing a special anniversary version of the album and assembling all the original band members with all the original equipment, in order to take White Ladder out on the road and recreate the record in its entirety”.

Gray will perform in Dublin, April 2 2020 at the 3Arena, and in Belfast's SSE Arena on March 31, 2020.

Tickets go on sale at 9am next Friday, though fans can get access to presale tickets on October 9 by pre-ordering products from Gray's remastered collection here.
