Swedish cider brand Kopparberg is launching a new product: a strawberry and lime gin, just in time for summer.

Swedish cider brand Kopparberg is launching a new product just in time for summer: a strawberry and lime gin.

The drinks brand is famous for its fruity ciders but The Drinks Business reports that there may be more products on the way.

Koppaberg's strawberry and lime gin will be available exclusively at selected UK Greene King pubs and retailers from Monday , as well as in Asda & Morrisons stores.

It's unclear whether the product will be rolled out in Ireland anytime soon, however, but Irish gin lovers travelling to UK festivals will be able to give it a try, as it will be available at the We Are FSTVL in London at the end of the month and Birmingham’s Made Festival this July.

The gin has an alcohol percentage of 37.5% and will have a price to match.

The Mirror UK reports that the cider will cost £22 for a 70cl bottle.

Kopparberg's Rob Salvesen said the drinks company was excited to be bringing the new premium gin to the UK:
