WATCH: Netflix's House of Cards has been given the Cork treatment
The opening credits for Netflix’s first original series House of Cards has been given the Cork treatment and the rebel city has never looked so well.
Just for fun, photographer and filmmaker Karl Kachmarsky decided to replace the scenes of Washington D.C frame-by-frame with of some of Cork’s most noted buildings.
National landmarks such as the Elysian, Cork City Hall and Cork Opera House, of course, made the cut but those eagled-eyed locals among you will spot Grand Parade, Shandon and Hollyhill.
This is what the opening sequence of the famous House of Cards would look like if it was filmed in Cork😉

To make it clear it only focuses on the cinematic aspect and it is free from any other context. #Cork #TimeLapse #cinematic #houseofcards pic.twitter.com/LFQpILdS2B
The 1:36 minute clip has received high praise from the people of Cork.
Triskel Arts Center commented, "Nice one, boi" whilst Senator Jerry Buttimer called it "Outstanding".
