This Tanora pancake recipe is the most Cork thing you'll see all day

Those of you who do not hail from Munster, may not be familiar with the Rebel magic that is, Tanora.

A tangerine flavoured fizzy drink which has been fulling Corkonians for decades.

Over the years, the drink has been added to different concoctions in a bid to make them ‘pure cork’ but this newest recipe takes the rich-tea biscuit.

Tanora Pancakes

The Cork radio station, 96FM posted the recipe on their Facebook and commentators have been tagging the orange drink lovers everywhere.

“You might want to pick some up on your way home,” said one.

While another added: “ I saw this and thought of you”

Ingredients:

2 eggs

130 ml of Tanora

½ of salt

135 of plain flour

2 tbsp of melted butter

Method:

1. Separate the eggs

2. Beat egg yolks

3. Add Tanora

4. Add salt to plain flour

5. Stir in the Tanora/egg mix

6. Fold in the egg whites

7. Add more Tanora to make a very thin batter

8. Cook, only turning once.
